Guest guest
Hi all, Just wanted to share my happy news of finally being accepted into the bariatric program. I've been jumping through all the hoops since September... went to my appt. this morning emotionally drained, because all I ever hear is come back in 3 weeks, come back in 4 weeks, etc... I was just about ready to give up because it's been so discouraging... but today, they said they would take me and they are going to call in a week or two with my date!!!! Best thing is, they are also scheduling my husband who started the whole process a month after I did! We are on cloud 9 because we are so happy we can do this together. We had some difficulty along the way because people kept telling me I wasn't " big enough " ... I mean geeze, this journey is difficult enough without hearing that.. right?! Anyway, we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and I say for anyone who has been waiting like we did.. hang in there and fight if you have to. If you've decided it's the right thing for YOU, then it IS!! Just had to share the news.... Mia - BMI 35 220/210/?? (the nurse actually told me I might have to worry about getting too thin.. I can't imagine!)
