Guest guest
Deb, You have hit on one of my pet peeves! Medical billing! I get billed for things that happened years ago that I thought insurance took care of. They expect sick people to have all their papers in order, filed, and everything memorized when you are too sick to know who the heck you are. It's always up to me to prove them wrong! -- Re: Where's my silver lining? I know just what you mean. I just got a bill from a doc for proceedures from nearly a year ago. They said insurance denied the claim.. I said well I never signed a waiver for insurance and I specifically told them I did not want any procedures ins didn't cover. The same procedures were covered several times so the error must be in the filing. I also got bills from my physical therapy for visits. I told them they have to refile with insurance, and so far have heard nothing. I did that once with an urgent care center, just assumed that the bill was paid because I stopped getting statements. Then they bit.. me out for not keeping the bill and waiting for the explaination of benefits... I tried to tell them that I'm not like they are, I get hundreds of bills and statements in the mail and am sick making it hard to keep track of when there are important things like electricity and gas bills to pay. We trust the billing office to let us know if there is a problem and they expect us sickies to do it! GRRRRr....... Maybe I needed to vent too... ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here

Guest guest
I finally got a phone call from my insurance company saying .. all your claims have been paid and we have notified the lab and doctor to release you from the collection agency. About frigging time! Only took them about 18 months! Another stress gone .. smiles..
