Guest guest
>>This is strange considering that they USED to! Even stranger considering the drugs you can get there, including narcotics. Why is Armour suddenly so controversial? << Well I talked to Forest Pharm about this very subject and they swear they have NEVER sold Armour outside the US. So I think either customs going INTO Mexico has cracked down on it or certain Endo communities are making a huge squawk about people buying it in other countries. They DO make money on it as is evidenced by the markup from what we would pay for it here with a prescription as that is already marked up. This is the reason we need to guard our sources for thyroid hormones so we don't eventually lose them all. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
When I was in Mexico I asked about Armour and they had never heard of it. My mother-n-law at the time worked for the medical board and could not get it either. I work with a lot of people in Mexico as my company has a site there. I will ask them what they would call the medication and let you know. It may take me a while to get back with you since most people are already on vacation. Guest guest
In spanish generic thyroid would be " tiroides genérico " or just " tiroides " . Guest guest
I went on the Mexican Riveria cruise in early October with 3 other couples (2 of which speak fluent spanish & the one girl of the 3rd couple works in a pharmacy and speaks minimal spanish). We all looked and asked in EVERY pharmacy we saw in all 3 ports. We were unable to find ANY " ARMOUR " . I didn't look for Naturethyroid or generic, but everytime we asked they all tried to sell us Synthroid, Levoxyl, T3 or T4 (they were looking at the formulary on the Armour bottle). None even seemed familiar with Armour. I found that quite interesting. Has anyone ever purchased Armour in Mexico? I had been buying from MYRX which, if I recall correctly was based/shipped out of Mexico!? So my opinion after the cruise was that maybe MYRX as importing from somewhere else... where is all the Armour going? I was tempted to purchase T3 & T4 and take together; anyone ever tried that? I wouldn't think it would be equal or as effective as Armour.. jen > > I mentioned yesterday that my daughter would be going to Algodones > today to try to get Armour for me.
