The hormone that runs high in pregnancy and even more t'wd the end of pregnancy is progesterone. THAT is where the " nesting " instinct thing comes in, with all that cleaning and doing stuff around the house at that time. I haven't truly wanted to clean house for yrs now, and have done so only out of necessity, but, since starting progesterone cream 3 months ago, this just started coming into play about 3 to 4 wks ago (even the Armour didn't accomplish that one! It has made me feel better, but this I owe to the progesterone cream, I think) . I have actually been ENJOYING cleaning in deep dark places that I haven't been doing for a long long time and sitting back enjoying the results, and it's GOT to be this hormone that has been missing from my body for the last 20 or more yrs or so (documented). Since these--( . .)--got much larger around about that time of the progesterone dropping so drastically (36A all the way up to a 36D within one yr, and I'm not exaggerating one bit! They've never shrunk either), I KNOW that I was already in Estrogen Dominance, with NO progesterone, and this, I strongly believe, takes away the " nesting " instincts that women would ordinarily have. Not that men don't like to clean house sometimes too, but I still believe that that instinct is naturally a thing that women feel about their homes, when their hormones are right, IF they are not literally sick all the time. I know that hypo has a lot to do with just not feeling like doing anything, but I also feel that this hormone, progesterone, lends a lot to these types of instinctive things. IMHO, plus it is documented for very pregnant women also!
Guest guest
hehehe, I can confirm that. When I was a week off giving birth to my son, I was down on my hands and knees scrubbing carpets. I have NEVER been known to scrub carpets before or since then. When I started using progesterone, I increased from a 34B to 36D. Strange though, I haven't had that cleaning instinct.
