I have tried lots of branches of Boots and other chemists, but they all look at me blankly. One Boots branch did have a 'fertility' thermometer but it came as part of a more expensive package which I couldn't be bothered with. For charting my temps I have been using a normal digital thermometer. It measures in celsius whereas most of the literature refers to farenheit (?spelling?), F being preferable I think as smaller intervals so more discriminating. Anyway if anyone knows where to get a basal thermometer I would also be interested! -- (24) Mum to Tabby (17 months)

I've used both and found the digital thermometer easier to use. Do you know about the free charting software you can download at www.lifecyclesoft.com ? I used it v.v.briefly between Verity and Alfie and thought it was really good. You have to exlain to them you don't want a 24.99 video etc because you already have all that info. Mine cost about 3 quid I think. I lost it and bought another from a different branch so more than one branch definitely carries them. -- Sue

Guest guest
You could try a medical/surgical suppliers. They're sort of like a pharmacy, but sell medical items of equipment, everything from thermometers to wheel chairs. Try looking in your Yellow Pages.
