Guest guest
Hi Jolene...thanks so much for keeping us in your prayers and know that you are in mine nightly, as well. I wish our kids (?? aren't they adults, now??) and husbands, for that matter... didn't have to be " told " what we " need " for them to do for us!!! Don't they " know " us...aren't we their mother and wife/friend?? Why do they think " we " never get sick or why don't they know " we " can't handle one more thing on a certain day?? We know that about all of them, don't we?? I don't get it!!! But it happens all the time, doesn't it?? Glenn is home and Mom is home...no hospitals tonite for the first time in over 3 wks. I'm in total " melt-down " mode...LOL Glenn was released by the dr. at the hospital, not any of his drs. and we haven't heard from any, so we don't know what the next step is. From what I understand, this Varices of the esophogeal tract is a very serious condition and can be life-threatening. He will have to go back to GI dr. in a month for another scope to see if any others have bursted. It's like varicose veins of the esophagus caused by the liver not functioning properly causing a pressure build-up and a back-up of the blood in the portal vein. I'll send a link later....explaining it....our dinner was just delivered...yum, yum. Haven't eaten a meal in days!!! Today has been a day for me as well. Nearly ended up in hospital. Thankfully not. Nearly had a big fight with daughter Kris but neither of us are violent so it was just some spouting off. There will be more to come. I still have to make a list to tell her what needs doing. I made a list of how to tell when it was time to do dishes and she got ticked off about it. Did one for Trash, did one for room cleaning and bathroom cleaning. She is not only person I was directing the list too but she took it personally. The grand kids are going camping on Friday, so their dad will bring them back on Sat. We are going to have a family meeting on Sunday to clear the air. I just can't be doing this stuff. Glad to hear everyone is home from hospital. I bet I can smell how good your supper is from here. I made sausage and macaroni (not mixed).. Ate of the sausage sparingly, trying to keep diarrhea under control. Went all day without a bm and then had to go twice in a row. Drat... My tummy is rumbling but not seriously so I will eat another banana and maybe some of that rice I have in fridge. I thought macaroni would stop me up but probably not as I put too much marg. and s&p on it. I love it that way, plus a little dab of catsup. Oh yummm. Well enjoy your supper and take care. God Love ya jolene Glenn ordered Alfredo Fettucine and Manicotti with garlic bread. It was yummy!! He has to still eat " soft " foods that won't rip out the " rubber bands " in the esophogus for a day or two until they heal. You do so well, sweetie, with taking care of yourself and doing the right things you know you need to do to hopefully make yourself feel better. I'm so proud of you...and wish Glenn would do some of that!!! Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
