Hi Amy, I used to sell Metabolife as a distributor. I thought it was pretty

good stuff. It has ma huang and ephedra in it, which give you stimulus, and

other stuff that makes you not hungry. They are big pills, though, and you have

to take something like 6 per day - too much for me. Anyway, there have been a

lot of studies done since it came out on the market that show it is not too good

for you, and the ma huang, etc. can cause some heart problems. Also there are

some potential side effects if you regularly take other medication. I don't

recommend it - you are better off just trying Atkin's - especially since there

are no portion limitations. You can eat until you feel full. If you have other

questions, let me know!

Warmly,

I've only taken 2 tablets per day for a couple days--got a sample

bottle cheap at WalMart. Just finished a paper for products liability class

on " why herbal supps should be better regulated " so I did a lot of reading

about ephedra. Scary stuff--I think if I'm careful with dosage it'll be ok.

.. . I noticed lots more energy which I liked, but not that " speed " like

shakiness. I thought maybe it would ease the carb withdrawal and it did, but

I also noticed I wasn't eating enough. Thanks for the info, tho. I

appreciate it.

Amy, so how are you doing? Have you gotten over the hump of the carb

withdrawal? I hope you are doing better with your eating. Do you notice the

Metabolife makes you less hungry? For me, though it sure made me feel thirsty.

Keep up the good work!

,

Thanks for asking. I WAS over the carb withdrawal, until NY Eve. But

today is a new day & a new start. My fridge & cupboards are filled with

low-carb stuff so I should be right on track to drop these pounds.
