Guest guest
I have read nothing but great things about the Ponseti method both on boards like this one and all over the internet. I am 100% convinced that the problems I have with my clubfoot now that I am 36 years old could have been prevented had my Dr. used the Ponseti method. I am 34 weeks pregnant with a baby boy who has been diagnosed with club foot and will definitely be seeing the Ponseti method specialist in my area. My question is...why, why, why are doctors still NOT using the Ponseti method 100% of the time? Does anyone know? I really can't see how a Dr. who is familiar enough with clubfoot to have any business treating it could be using any method but Ponseti! It really makes me sad that this information is out there for all these parents to educate themselves but so many people have to travel 100s of miles just to see a Ponseti specialist when it seems so logical that there should be 100s of Drs. who could perform this treatment. It seems almost medically irresponsible for Drs. not to learn how to use Dr. Ponseti's method. I don't mean to stir up trouble as I am new to this board but does anyone else agree?
