There's one that I've tried, and it's great, tastes great too, and I just had the name of it on the tip of my fingers and POOF-gone, as if it never were. Crud, I can't remember it. I have tomorrow off, so I'll have to get back to you on Thurs. It's strawberry or vanilla flavored. It's got egg whites, no soy. Now, it worked good for me until the egg whites started to make some pretty unpleasant ............wel you know, I won't get into that. I have only so much tolerance to eggs, none to the actual bird, go figure. I'll try to remember the stuff and post the website.SpiffKen & Jackie Reimer wrote: Hi all, I am looking a quality protein powder. I don't want any artificial sweeteners.. splenda, apspartame, etc... I buy rice protein from Vitamin World. It has only one ingredient (which I love) and tastes fine in my shake. It's also pretty cheap, so that's the one that I'm sticking with. It's hard to find others without a bunch of extra ingredients... Judy

The only one I found I did well with was te Carnation Instant Breakfasts, but you gotta get the powdered ones you mix with milk and not the new premixed ones.////////////////

*Shudder* In the wls world, Carnation Instant Breakfast is known as "Crap in a Box"! It's very low protein and high sugar-even the no sugar added one. I fully agree about no premixed ones, but I mix my protein with water to avoid the extra calories and sugar from milk...a truly good protein doesn't need milk...my fav right now is Banana Scream (Champion Pure Whey Stack)

See I was using it with my breakfast for the extra calories, so I

guess it depends on what you want the protien to do..I needed to up my

calories for a while and found it helped.

I've got the notes I took from the tub. I don't have time to post it right now, but will get the stuff to you. It's www.myogenix.com to go to the website. I don't remember this one having that. I just have an issue with eggs for some reason. I think, really, it's because of all the crap they feed commercial chickens. I don't seem to have that much of a problem with my chickens' eggs, but then again, I never really had the guts to do much testing. The last time I got sick, I got sick so hard, I separated a couple ribs, or at least that's what I was told. I could barely stand to have my back touched. It was just wrong. Here's the info on the myogenix: ( this is per scoop, 28 per container ) 126 calories, 2g fat, 1g sat fat, 69 mg cholesterol, 120 mg sodium, Total carbs 2g Less than 1g dietary fiber. 1g sugars, 25g protein. Whey protein isolate ( cross flow mocrofiltered protein concentrate, egg albumin ( the white of the egg ) ) Whey hydrosate, natural strawberry powder, natural flavors, stevia sucralose. I mix this with real cold milk and use a whisk because otherwise it tends to lump up. And it really tastes good, a little off, but I'd say 95% good. I paid $29.99 for a big container of it, bout the size of those mayonnaise jars you get at the costco. If I didn't have time for an actual meal, I'd dump 2 scoops into 16 oz of milk, chug and go again, and I was full and satisfied. Or if I didn't feel satisfied after a meal, use this for dessert. OH! BTW, remember the thing we had going about including fat in the diet to

help lose weight? YUP! This works really well! I've been using actual butter and I've really started to notice a difference. They say that the other stuff, margarines and I can't believe it's not butter yada yada types, those are 1 ingredient short of a barbie doll. And if you let a tub of that stuff set out ( like I did once ) and it melts, you CAN believe it's not butter, because it looks nassssssy and never does go back to original. It just gets watery with a scum on the top. Ick. I stick with butter. ( pardon the pun ) SpiffWillyorca wrote: Hi all, I am looking a quality protein powder. Thanks jackie/////////////////////////////// I like Sci Fit Whey Protein and Champion Pure Whey Stack...but they both have sweeteners in them, although not aspartame since I do my best to stay away from that. The Banana Scream Stack has sucrolose (Splenda), the choco Stack has Fructose and acesulfame potassium, the Sci Fit has Stevia and acesulfame potassium. If you go to www.vitalady.com at http://www.vitalady.com/comparison_60.htm, she has a comparison chart of all her proteins

(dozens!!!) that break down what sweetener is in them, grams of protein, carbs, etc. It's a very useful chart! She carries only high quality products that are approved for people with gastric bypass-therefore they are highly absorbable for *us* as well as normies....she has lot's of cool flavored sugar-free syrups too. ____________________________ in *cool again* Jerseyopen proximal rny 9/18/015'9"-31yo297/168I'm not a doc-in real life or otherwise.
