Why would Blue Cross even know that it's a resurfacing if the JRI is now

using the THR code when they submit the request for coverage. The THR code

specifies that both surfaces of the hip joint are being replaced, which is

certainly the case with resurfacing. In fact, it's probably a more accurate

description of the resurfacing procedure than it is of a THR. Check with

Chuck about this.
