Well the end of January is nigh and somehow just too much stuff

happened this month for me to get organized BUT I think that lucky

Friday the 13th of February would be a great night to hold a get

together of hippies - we can make earlyish for you Yanks - or perhaps

you can spend Valentines weekend in lovely Vancouver!!!!

Anyway all are invited, just let me know if you can make - it will be

potluck affair - anything easily made or store bought is just fine -

bring your scars and stories before and after surgery, of surgery and

life after... there are likely to be one or two " soon to be

hippies " here too so let's give them all a little encouragement too.

I am having surgery on the 4th also and will be returning Feb 14th so will

definitely not be able to make it on the 13th. I don't know how sociable one

is so soon after surgery but will be finding out soon. If you decide to do

Hi Pam

and I plan to attend, and will bring a dessert. Looking

forward to meeting you, Cliff, and the other Vancouver area " hippies " .

I just spent a week in Cuba, and was delighted to be able to swim

in the ocean without all the back pain and muscle spasms I had on a

warm weather holiday a year ago. Our suite was on the third floor (no

elevator), so I was up and down stairs several times a day, and just

kept a light hand on the rail in order grab it if I slipped on the

smooth (and sometimes wet) tiled stairs, but didn't really need to

hold on at all. Walked all over Old Havana on those cobblestones and

marble museum floors, and although I was a little sore by the end of

the day, it was nothing major, and the main thing was, I could DO it.

Four months ago such a sightseeing program would have been impossible.
