Guest guest
My son has been gf/cf, etc. for a long time. I'm starting to challenge some of the " non-gf/cf " allergies and I'm wondering if anyone of you have done the same. Our last round of comprehensive blood allergy testing (over a year ago) showed allergies like peanut butter, meanwhile my son had been eating peanut butter out of the jar for a long time beforehand with no noticeable reaction. Yet we all know how scary peanut allergies can be and I have respected the new allergy since the testing. I'm now starting to wonder. My son tested allergic to eggs since day one, yet that last round of testing showed no egg allergy but the response I got at the time was he hadn't eaten eggs in so long it didn't show up and a few sources suggested I respect the egg allergy. We did that too. I'm at a point now where I'd like to challenge a couple of these things. I don't want to challenge gluten or casein because we know casein makes him wild, and with gluten, I fear we won't see the detrimental effect for a long time and then I'll really be sorry. So for now, I'm looking at the other allergies. Any help here? Happy New Year! Thanks, JoAnne
Guest guest
Yep - I've had IgG testing and had wonderful results. Confirmed some of what I already suspected and showed me to be sensitive to foods I never would have guessed. However, when I cut those out my health improved. Several other labs do this type of blood testing. I can't remember the name of the lab I used right off hand, but if someone is interested email me and I'll look it up. Also LEAP has a good program for conquering food 'allergies'. You can also do an elimination diet to find the food culprits. Food can also cause Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), snoring, among other things. After implementing the new diet my ADD daughter is much better and so is my ODD daughter - hubby quit snoring and no longer needed his CPAP. It also helped clear up my IBS. If anyone wants more info on diet, etc, give me a holler and I'll help best I can.

Guest guest
Hi -- I would like to find out more info on diet, too. My doctor suspects I may have IBS (possibly complicated by stomach problems). The test sounds interesting, too.
