I have to second the Captain here - and, this is from someone who is

scheduled for resurfacing by him this coming Monday. He has called

me at home on two occasions. First, he called me on a Sunday to

disucss my situation. Second, when I had to delay my surgery due to

an emergency health crisis with my son, he called to check on my son

and ease my concern about having to delay surgery for a month. He

may not be all smiles and giggles, but he does care vry much about

his patients, and he comes highly recommended not only by former

patients, but by the people who represent the manufacturer (who are

present during the surgery).

Tom,

Regarding your flight (and needing 3 weeks) advance notice. I suggest you

telephone the airline and explain you have an emergency need for a flight to

Baltimore. I think they will

likely make an exception to the early booking rule. Even airlines can be

quite reasonable. If you do not get a thoughtful airline representative, hang up

and call again. If that does not work, suggest calling a different airline.

To all who've responded,

Thank you. I didn't realize at the time that I would start such a

fire-storm. Maybe Dr Mont is right, I shouldn't post on this site!

Just kidding.

Dr. Mont is still my doctor. I'd be in his office today if it weren't

for the distance. If this pain doesn't show any signs of relief I will

fly back to Baltimore and spend a few days there to get it

straightened out. With airlines needing 3 weeks advance booking and

extra charges if you need to change days, it's hard to plan. But at 11

weeks as of yesterday, 5 of them have been in pain. I think I'll be

headed back there more sooner than later.

Again, sorry about all this controversy, I hate it when you people

fight!

Thanks for all the support.

Oh, I forgot to tell Jeff and I did sent a fax to Dr Mont the

day of my phone conversation with him. I explained how it was someone

else who posted the statements he questioned. I attached my original

message also so he could see what it was.I think that staightened

things out.
