Hi Ed:

One of my strengths is proof-reading, and I didn't note a single spelling

mistake in your post, so as far as I'm concerned, you're fine.

I've also noticed some " slippage " but in truth, it could also be part of the

aging process, so who knows? I'm sure there's plenty of data out there but I

don't have any at hand.

To be honest, I'm more concerned about the x-rays than the anesthesia, but to

me, the solution is to live it up.

I just had my 6 month follow-up x-rays (8 months post surgery) and damn, they

look good. My hat's off to Mr. Treacy.

You alluded to " brain cell damage " caused by total anesthesia (TA).

Do you or does anyone else know where to find more info on this?

I have had 8 TA's in the last 15 years (6 in the last 10 years)and my

short term memory has taken a hit for sure; also my language

capability: I used to be able to spell anything

correctly " automatically " ,now I often have to think or try writing

different variations to decide on the correct way and even then

sometimes have to resort to checking the dictionary.
