OK folks, this is going to sound silly, and I have to ask...but a littlebackground first...Our son from Texas recently moved in with us.  He's a shootist. (Gun enthusiast)  Our daughter and her boyfriend are also shootists.

(Fatherly boasting: Annie can hit a target, center mass, seven shotswithin six inches, at 30 yards, with her Bersa Thunder .38 semiautomaticpistol that she bought for herself when she turned 21.) The three of them are planning on going to an outdoor range soon to

shoot.  I would love to go with them.Question:  Can people with oxygen shoot firearms?  jon-- A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

That's a great question Jon, something I never would have thought of

if the answer is no, i am sure you can go and watch and be with your children

sometimes when cooking on my gas stove, i will take the canula off and hang it on a door knob while i stir the pot of soup or whatever i am making

maybe someone can hold your canula while you shoot

that's if you can be without O2 for a couple of minutes

Absolutely Jon.........blast away........I took my daughter shooting last fall. I took my oximeter, checked it from time to time. The process was slower because it took longer for me to settle down between shots and get my breathing slowed, but we managed to go through several boxes of ammo. My 16 year old had her 1st experience with the .45-70 and with the .338 Win Mag. As you know, felt recoil is a very subjective thing, different for each of us. She wasn't too crazy about the .45-70, but the .338 with it's muzzle brake won her over. With ammo at $40 a box I had to convince her that 20 shots was enough. Awww, yes, anyday you go shooting is a good day. jim

Thank you Jim!Made my day!  Doing the happy dance!Annie's boyfriend obtained an AK74 (the thing has honkin' hugeammunition) that I can't wait to try.  Annie told me it has less recoil

than most shotguns she's fired.  Missouri is a CCW state (nobrandishing though) and a nearly 6 foot lanky blonde like myAnnie is the last person you'd think to be packing or be a goodshot or know anything about firearms.

I can verify that Peggy would shoot her gun if the need arose. In fact, don't tick her off....just sayin.
