Guest guest
Hi Angel Thank you so very much for all the good information you gave in your reply to my questions, it was very much appreciated. Yes, I would like info on the email group your son is in. I think my daughter would be very much interested. At least she wouldn't feel so alone in this. Wow, it sounds to me as if you're doing everything right, . Congratulations on the low A1c. Mine was also 6.4 when diagnosed but hasn't been lower than 5.6. My last two were higher, due to major slipping off of the low-carb wagon just before the A1c tests. sky
Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group. I am a Type 2 and also manage with diet and exercise. I was diagnosed in 1997. There's no set about of carbs you have to eat. I basically eat to my meter. Over time, you learn what are problem foods and amounts for you. Then you can manage without so much testing but, in the early days, it's good to test a lot so you build up a lot of knowledge about your own body and its diabetes. Walkins is great exercise and will bring your bgs down. I walk in the gym on a treadmill. Guest guest
Hi Cat, Big Hug coming your way. I too had the expanders and suffered some discomfort, but nothing like what you describe. I can say that I'm about 6 months out from my recon and love my girls. They look great and day by day I feel increasing better. I wish the same for you. I'm felling good today not sick like I was on the first round. Three more to go, my last one will be Dec. 5. Guest guest
Hello everyone. I am new here and would like to introduce myself. I am 58 years old. I was diagnosed with BC on July 3rd. I had a lumpectomy with SNB. First path report said 2/11 nodes positive. Second path said only 2 positive nodes seen. I have finished my 4 rounds of CAF and will start 12 weekly treatments of Taxol next Monday. Then they will do an axillary lymph node surgery to check things out before I start radiation. I have had some bad days but am taking it one day at a time. I have 5 grown children and 7 grandsons & one granddaughter. I live with my husband and my mother. I hope I can answer questions for anyone just starting on this journey that we are all traveling together. I have seen a " Sue " and an " Ellen " on here, but my name is Sue Ellen and I live in SE Texas. May God Bless and strengthen you all, Sue Ellen

Guest guest
Hello Sue Ellen, Welcome to the group. I am new here, too. We can travel this journey together. It sounds like you are on your way, I wish you the very best. I start chemo this morning. I'm in central Texas. I have a son and grandchildren down in Spring. Is that near you? My name is Pamela, I am almost 31 and a single mom of 3. I just joined. I have a strong family history of breast cancer and I have had cervical cancer before. The doctor sent me for a routine mammgram based on my family history. I am currently undergoing testing for breast cancer after a mammogram just revealed a massive dense mass in my left breast. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
