There is always a big debate about this question.

Personally, I don't count any plain zero point veggie as points. I figure I

didn't get fat on veggies.

0 Point Foods

I was wondering if the o point foods you can only eat once a day?

Can I have a cup of tomatoes for lunch and then a cup for dinner or

would there be points to count for the dinner portion?

Thanks,

Jill

My WW leader suggests eating up to 5 zero pt. food servings a day and then

starting to count points after that. That might have changed w/ the Flexpoints

plan, but I haven't heard anything different.

In my WW book it suggests that if you hit a point that you aren't losing

weight anymore. a plateau, then one of the things you should evaluate in

your diet is how many 0 point foods you are eating. If you are having more

than 5 per day, that could be part of the problem with the plateau. If you

have a cup of carrots for a snack, and then a cup for dinner, and you put

both on the WW online, it will count the second cup as 1 point or 1/2 point,

if I remember correctly. It does add up, and since part of the process of

losing weight is reducing the amount of food we eat, this could be a " point "

to beware of.

I have to agree with the other posts, I usually don't count my zero

point veggies unless I'm eating so much of them that I should (like

three cans of green beans or something like that which I never do).

Otherwise, I just use them as free. Things other than veggies that

are zero points, I make sure and count if I eat enough to be at least

half a point.
