two weeks away

Hi Guys,

I'm two weeks away from my resurfacing, & trying to keep a good

attitude. Of course my hip pain has tried to go into hiding...but I

remember the dark days. I suppose I'm still clinging to the fear

that this whole procedure will be the start of a whole " series " of

surgeries (although they will probably be 5-15 years apart)....and

I'm only 44. Who knows, maybe I'll get 30 years out of this

resurfacing and all my fret will be for nothing. But the waiting is

the hard part...since it gives me time to think too much. Anyway,

I'm still a daily reader, so keep the happy endings coming.

- you are going to be so happy you had this done - your life

will be " normal " again (if anyone actually knows what that is. I can

remember only be so excited about the possibility of skating again -

and now I am skating at least 4-5 days a week and no pain anywhere

(except when I overdo it and my physio just laughs at me then!!!).

Be positive and thankful that you have this option. It's the best.
