Guest guest
Today marks my 1 year anniversary for my not so new hip. I saw my doctor last week and the X-Rays look great with good bone ingrowth. Like most of my fellow hippies, the pain from the joint is gone gone gone! I have resumed all my activities including my favorite game, ice hockey. As a matter of fact I was playing 8 months after my operation. (Not very well, but that's another story!) Muscle and tendon soreness after strenuous exercise are still an issue. I am not sure what I have to do to get on top of this problem. I will continue to stretch and workout the hip and hope that the soreness eventually goes away. To all those who are contemplating a resurfacing - stop contemplating and start surfing! You have a problem, you have a solution. Just do it! Don't let anyone kid you though, this is no walk in the park. The operation is a big deal and the recovery and rehab is tough but the rewards are worth it.
