Guest guest
Cindy, , , Joyce, Thanks so much for sharing your experiences, it is a big big help and balances the picture a lot, especially this morning when I see the consultant this afternoon. Thanks also to all those who replied to my question re glucosamine. I had never heard of hip resurfacing until I had an x ray at the chiropracter's on 18th March and didn't know I was in line for anything remotely like this. It's been a funny two weeks really .... Since then I've learnt a lot fast on the net. What a wonderful thing this group is though. Well done everyone! Margaret
Guest guest
Hi Margaret, Maybe it is something to do with hip replacements but it was about this time 2 years ago that I suddenly out of the blue found out I possibly could have something done about my fused hip after 35 years of it......... within a fortnight I found it was possible and had a doctor who said he would do something called a resurface for me............. so I know a bit about how you must feel.............. it is at once very exciting but a bit scary to be happening so fast.............. Mine was nothing but a huge success........... And I must report that a few days ago I discovered that I can now put on my slacks, pants etc front on instead of doing back flips as in the past......... It may have taken 37 years to do it again and may be a pretty simple thing but it is so nice to do after all this time........ Best of luck with the op etc Edith LBHR Dr. L Walter Syd Aust 8/02 > > Thanks so much for sharing your experiences, it is a big big help and > balances the picture a lot, especially this morning when I see the > consultant this afternoon. > > Thanks also to all those who replied to my question re glucosamine. > > I had never heard of hip resurfacing until I had an x ray at the > chiropracter's on 18th March and didn't know I was in line for > anything remotely like this.
