Guest guest
I am just back from Lexington Medical Center with my new C2K. Dr. Gross, Lee Webb and the whole staff - both at Midlands Orthopedic and the hospital were fantastic. Pain management has been great - I have been in almost no pain. I got home (to Virginia) yesterday afternoon and was able to walk to the corner (with the aid of crutches) this morning. Lee recommends people stay at the Holiday Inn Airport on Drive - A closer and (I think) nicer place is the Hampton Inn right across I-26 from the Hospital. They gave us a $55/night rate for being associated with the hospital (because I was a patient). If you end up going to Dr. Gross (and I recommend him highly), don't miss checking out Columbia - it's a really nice little city. Guest guest
Yeah, I think Dr Gross is an artist... and unbelievably skilled. I had the same experience. My recovery has been steady and pretty easy. I just keep doing the activities I couldn't do when I was in such pain. Walking, stairs, sitting down & getting up, driving, raking the lawn, sweeping the porch, etc. Things that one needs a solid set of muscles to do. I started slowly and have gradually picked up the pace and the tasks that I've asked my hip to do. It's good. Glad to hear of your experience.
