Guest guest
Of the top six US orthopedic manufacturers it seems there are four with a hip resurfacing product. Biomet and Stryker are the two holdouts. But wait, what is this in a Reuters story about Biomet's recent quarterly report (from Wednesday)? ... 'Overall, there were few surprises in the quarter, " Stanley analyst Wittes wrote in a research note. " As the year progresses, we expect the outlook to improve as the company benefits from the full rollout of the Vanguard Knee line, its Rapid Recovery MIS instrument sets and the availability of a hip resurfacing product later this summer. " ' http://biz.yahoo.com/rc/040317/health_biomet_earns_3.html Will it then be five of six? Will Stryker go and buy Corin or ? Stay tuned. -
Guest guest
When I last saw Dr gross a month ago, he told me that the Biomet resurfacing device was due out very soon. I believe it will allow for cementless fixation on the femoral side, which is something that Dr gross thinks will be appropriate for suitable prospective patients. - -- In surfacehippy , wrote: > Of the top six US orthopedic manufacturers it seems there are four with a hip resurfacing product. Guest guest
Hi, Now didn't I tell you all that the debate soon will be which Resurface device rather than Resurface v THR.............smile. Companies looking for new angles and new profits are not going to ignore the market too long believe me............ and watch the OS resistance crumble in the face of the enticing offers............. (yes I am a cynic at heart) Someone wants to point them in the direction of the insurance coys with offers for cheaper ops.......... then you will have a roller coaster road of entry into the market.........
