Hi everyone,

Today is a Woohoo day! I'm excited to report that I lost 2.5 pounds

this week, which takes me up and over the 100-lbs-lost mark, for a

total of 101.5!! I'm only two pounds from my goal now, but as I've

mentioned before I'm planning to go another 10 pounds below that

goal. My regular weigh-in day is Friday but I just couldn't wait

(LOL!)so I dropped in this morning...but I'm going back for the

meeting Friday to celebrate with my leader. Yay!!

Hi Bette; You are so terrific! Congratulations on the 2.5 pounds off. I stayed

the same this week, and am very happy I did not gain. Didn't think I would, as I

am getting ready for my sister, and husband to come for a visit tomorrow for 3

days, and have been working my tail off cleaning house upstairs and down, doing

laundry, and getting the yard in shape, and have been pulling some awesome

Activity Points daily. I haven't used any AP's, as my regular target point for

the day was enough this past week. On most of the days I was under the target

point, and probably did not eat enough, as I was too tired to eat, and was

satisfied with less.

Yay!! You have accomplished so much. I can't wait until I can say that. It is so

awesome. Only 2 pounds to goal. Way to go, Bette! Have a super good time at

meeting tomorrow. Pat from K.C.

Jeannine,

Thanks! LOL! I never thought of myself as a role model for weight loss!!!

But I don't mind at all adding that to my new role as what I call a Weight

Watchers evangelist! Heaven forbid anyone should ask me how I've lost this

weight, because they'll soon tire of hearing from me extol the wonders of WW

!!

Hang in there. I'm living proof that this is doable!

Hugs,

Bette

Bette,

Congrads on your weight loss, that is a inspiration to me. I too have 100

lbs to lose I just can't think that it's do able. I'm having slow losses but

want to continue each and everyday. With someone like you sharing your losses

makes me feel that I too can do it some day. Thanks for being there for all of

us in the group.

Have a great celebration on Friday with y our leader.

Hugs,

Marge

Marge,

I'm sorry that you're having slow losses, but keep telling yourself, ANY

loss is better than staying where I was....and certainly better than a gain!

Hang in there....I believe you can do it too!

Thanks for your kind words!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Debi,

Thanks for your encouraging words! I love your description of pushing two

BIG weights aside on a doctor's scale! Great visual!

I've been on program since June 1 of 2003, about 14 months now. I have to

say I haven't really had a plateau. I do know lots of people have them

though. My body has established a pattern of losing 2 or 2.5 pounds one

week, followed by maybe a half pound the next, maybe 1 pound the next and

another half to 1 pound the fourth week, and then back to the 2 pounds. A

few times I've " stalled " for maybe two weeks, losing only 3/10 of a a pound

or just maintaining. But a quick look at my journal usually has shown me

that I've eaten too many WW ice creams that week and not enough complex

carbs for snacks, or maybe I haven't eaten enough protein. I learned early

on that I really NEED at least a small amount of protein at each of the 3

main meals. Also, I'm one of those people who eat 6x a day - breakfast,

snack, lunch, snack, dinner, bedtime snack. It works for me!

My strongest recommendation is to keep every one of your journals and look

at them occasionally. You can usually find something in your journals that

will indicate what is either slowing your loss or what is contributing to

regular losses. I believe in those journals!

Best of luck to you!
