Guest guest
Some fruits, such as whole large bananas, count as two points under the old system. Does that mean it therefore counts as two servings of fruit? Please say yes. If I'm right, then I've been really good about getting my 7-9 servings of fruits/veggies per day. -- Sláinte, S. Guest guest
Hi , in the getting started booklet I have, before getting this new one it says on page 17 that for leafy veggies like lettuce and spinach, one serving is 1 cup, for all other fruits and veggies a serving is 1/2 cup... It's an interesting question. I always think that 1/2 of a large banana is 1 serving.. By the way both books say a banana 7-9 inches long is 2 points. ~~Kallie~ ------------------------------------------------------------ In Serious-Weight-Watchers , " Crawford " <rscrawford@m...> wrote: > Some fruits, such as whole large bananas, count as two points under the > old system. Guest guest
Good question. I count one serving of fruit as whatever quantity the week one book lists, so if it says 1/2 cup blueberries is 1 point, I consider 1/2 cup as a serving. If it says 1 banana is 2 points, I've always considered one banana a serving. I don't have any authority for this, it's just what I've always done. : ) April > Some fruits, such as whole large bananas, count as two points under the > old system. Half a cup? Wow. That means that the two cups of cherry tomatoes I just ate actually counts as four servings of veggies instead of two? That's pretty cool. I've been stuffing myself with tomatoes, cucumbers, grapes, bananas, apples, and so on, trying to get to 7 servings a day. > It's an interesting question.
