Guest guest
Hello I am sure you are " frustarted " in your search to be better. It is mind boggling what pain . . .and constant pin to the body does! I am so turned on to Pilaates and what it can do for the body. Balancing stretching and strengthening. A good teacher and following the exercises can eally make a difference. Good Luck Alyce C2K Wm Kennedy 3/23/
Guest guest
Hello I had back problems (no surgery, though) and a lot of sciatica and chiropractic treatments for years. Sometimes when I got up, or even in the middle of walking (after stopping for a minute), my leg would just go out from under me. Two years ago I had a really bad twisting all and tore a ligament in my back, which then got much worse, pain-wise. About two weeks after I had my hip resurfaced, I could feel something(s) moving in my back. From about five weeks post-op, I've had almost no back pain (unless I did something to aggravate it like sitting at the computer in a bad posture position for hours). My two lowest vertebrae used to be locked together most of the time and constantly needed adjusting. Now my whole back is much looser (according to my massage therapist and physiotherapist). They think a lot of my back problems were caused by my hip. So it's certainly possible that resurfacing could help your back. I asked Dr. McMinn if he could work on my back at the same time as he fixed my hip, but he said he wouldn't do that. I had read on the Internet that sometimes only surgery could fix a ligament problem like I had, but it turns out that fixing my " locked " hip has allowed the ligament to either move to the right position, or stretch out a bit more, I don't know exactly, but the improvement is almost miraculous. It sounds like you have so much pain that it's time for some sort of intervention very soon, and I can certainly recommend resurfacing. n rBHR Oct.17/03 McMinn
