Guest guest
Ice , ice, ice!!! Put it on to reduce that swelling Half hour on, half hour off, all day long. You will be amazed at how it helps. Sharry wimpybear Yes I had the option of sedatives. The doctors like to use the spinal. They feel it is one less risk in the scope of things. I actually like the spinal. It felt ok to wake up during surgery. Got to ask questions, Like... why are you pounding so hard on my hip. How does it look. Much blood loss. Every thing ok. Recovery is easier for the initial phase in my opinion. 4 days post op, man is my butt bruised and fat. Tug
Guest guest
Tug - hope all is going well with your recovery - was wondering if I could give you a call? If so, perhaps you could me e-mail me (davidcamp@...) with your phone number.. I live in Vancouver, WA and looking to schedule re-surfacing very shortly. Had a few questions. Guest guest
Dave, Funny you should write, I just returned from Salem. This was my 1 mo check up with Boyd. I am now able to start walking without aid of my crutch and I will be starting water therapy on my own. I have been erroring on the side of lazy. I want nothing to do with prosthetic loosening. Leg is getting stronger by the week, still I have a ways to go. Great check up though. Met an extremely nice gentleman from Oregon and I wished I could remember his name, however, he was in for his 6 wk check up and was walking oh so straight, and showing me how he could swing his leg all around and how great he feels. Well come to find out he is 75! I stopped worrying and started getting excited. Yeah! Dave call me . Guest guest
---, Iam currently at the three mo marker plus a little. I have been on the bike trainer getting ready for some spring rides. I feel so much better than pre surgery that no one can tell there is anything wrong. Iam the only one that knows my moments. I notice improvements at this point in time on a monthly basis. I see why everyone says that it takes 9-12 mo to feel 100 percent. I would say I feel 80 percent in the joint. I went to the PT once and that will problably be good for a month. I will then get evaluated and get some more specifics at that point. Time really is your best friend when it comes to healing. Dave the best number to catch me at is Tug Boyd11/03 In surfacehippy , " david camp " wrote: > Tug - How are you getting along - looks like it has been a little over 3 months - I am scheduled for next week with Dr Sparling - raring to go > > Dave Camp > wimpybear > > > > > > Yes I had the option of sedatives. > > The doctors like to use the spinal. > > They feel it is one less risk in the > > scope of things. > > I actually like the spinal.
