Guest guest
Hi I am hoping for a second child - so did some research about this. I wrote to Ann Prentice (a medical researcher in Cambridge, UK) & I'll forward her response to you. My worry was about bone loss from the hips during pregnancy / lactation, I thought it might weaken my bone around the implant. Her reply was very reassuring. She said that - 'There are considerably greater differences in BMD between women than the changes that an individual woman experiences during lactation. The decision for you probably needs to be based on an estimate of your BMD to judge whether lactational bone changes might place you at risk. This could perhaps be a scan on your other hip, for example.' Hope this helps Kathy LBHR (Bone Grafts) June 2002 Mr Treacy > > Hi everyone > > > > This is a topic maybe only relevant to a few of us but mainly out > of interest I have been trying to find information on women who had a > > resurfacing and then became pregnant.
