Guest guest
Hi, , and welcome to the group. You sure are a survivor! I haven't heard of anyone having a thyroid nodule removed for biopsy; if an FNA isn't conclusive, then a partial thyroidectomy is generally the next step. Why would you be referred to a GI oncologist for follow up? Most of us are followed by endocrinologists. Even without your history, the diagnosis of possible cancer is a scary thing. It may ease your mind a bit to know that if your nodule turns out to be thyroid cancer, the surgery and treatment will almost certainly be easier than they were for your other cancers. NYC TT 2/99 dx pap/foll; RAI 100 mCi 3/99 & 4/00; clean scan 3/02; current TSH ~.06 (for help in deciphering this, and for other frequently used abbreviations, see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Thyca/message/21248 ) gundrsn5 wrote: > Hi all, > > I am new to this group and need help interpreting my FNA results.
