Guest guest
Thanks Pam, I really don't need any encouragement to sign on to any number of book sites. Its a disease. I wonder if that shouldn't be one for the surveys. How many of us are bibliomaniacs? Oh my! That must be a real word or the spellchecker would pick it up! Laurel Re: Re: This sound right? Guest guest
Hi Laurel- I'm so sorry. I miss so much on this board nowadays. I caught this one. Are you only on 5 mcg of Cytomel/day? I don't think that's a theraputic dose unless maybe you're only taking 50 mcg of levothyroxine. If it is that small of a dose of T3, I don't think it's doing you much good. Splitting Cytomel is a good thing usually but I don't think splitting a 5 mcg tablet will help you. I also was having trouble getting a call back from my endo. I was exasperated so my husband (a physician) suggested that I ask questions that a nurse couldn't possibly answer (they could if all they did was study pregnancy and thyroid disease and they don't have time to do that-I generally save my questions for the doctor). So I did and it worked. The endo called me back within 2 hours. Jody is right. You need those FT3 levels before you can argue about anything and you have a right to your lab results. Take care, dx & RAI 1987 (at age 24) > Hi back Jody, > > Looks like, thanks to you and I've got a bit of research to do. Just wanted to let you know that, just as expected, the primary never called back. > > This morning's cytomel plus a chiropractic visit, plus an acupuncture visit and I'm tired and headachy but able to move. Think I'd go out dancing if it weren't for still feeling like I'm freezing cold! > > You guys are angels! I'll get a note on the board for (although I really hate bothering her just now) and Elaine. But first I'm going back to Elaine's book to see if I can figure it out. > > Maybe its time for the other book too. Do you know who has it? The autoimmune one. > Thanks again, > Laurel
