Thanks Pam,

I really don't need any encouragement to sign on to any number of book sites.

Its a disease.

I wonder if that shouldn't be one for the surveys. How many of us are

bibliomaniacs?

Oh my! That must be a real word or the spellchecker would pick it up!

Laurel,

While you are book shopping, you may also want to look at

'Healthy Immunity', by Lorna R. Vanderhaeghe.

This one has Elaine's stamp of approval.

Hi Laurel-

I'm so sorry. I miss so much on this board nowadays. I caught this one.

Are you only on 5 mcg of Cytomel/day? I don't think that's a theraputic

dose unless maybe you're only taking 50 mcg of levothyroxine. If it is that

small of a dose of T3, I don't think it's doing you much good. Splitting

Cytomel is a good thing usually but I don't think splitting a 5 mcg tablet

will help you.

I also was having trouble getting a call back from my endo. I was

exasperated so my husband (a physician) suggested that I ask questions that

a nurse couldn't possibly answer (they could if all they did was study

pregnancy and thyroid disease and they don't have time to do that-I

generally save my questions for the doctor). So I did and it worked. The

endo called me back within 2 hours.

Jody is right. You need those FT3 levels before you can argue about

anything and you have a right to your lab results.

Take care,

Just wanted to let you know that, just as expected, the primary never called

back.

visit and I'm tired and headachy but able to move. Think I'd go out dancing

if it weren't for still feeling like I'm freezing cold!

really hate bothering her just now) and Elaine. But first I'm going back to

Elaine's book to see if I can figure it out.
