Guest guest Posted January 22, 2004 Report Share Posted January 22, 2004 I was referred to this group to find Edith. I am a 40 year old woman with a totally fused hip due to a congenital dislocation. It has been fused most of my life. I am very active despite zero range of motion in my hip. I do have lower back pain and neck pain from thrusting my head forward to counter- balance my fused hip pushing me back. Anyway, I am seeing an orthopedic surgeon next week to discuss a ceramic THR and other options. Someone in another group referred me to Edith. I am unfamiliar with resurfacing.
