So sorry to hear of your BILs death. I am new here but have had a life time of

experiences with autoimmune diseases. I know for a fact that stress can cause

flares. I am not sure however in CD but I can't see why not since it is

autoimmune also.

I have been dx with 3 autoimmune diseases. I have had flares during especially

stressful times in my life.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Zanna--I'm right there with you. I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease about 13 yrs ago and recently in the last year been diagnosed with CD. Stress of any kind is a major trigger to autoimmune symptoms. Even good stressors can be bad if it's out of your normal routine. just remember to take it easy and pamper yourself-do something that will make you feel happy to try to keep your stress level (at such a stressful time) low. I'm publicly confessing it: I'm > geography-impaired. So, please tell me, where the hey is Imatra? > Esther, "It's a small world after all. It's a small world after all.> It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world.">Esther, I completly understand! LOL! I used to live in a town of 200, (we would joke when one would die, time to change the population sign) and may people are geographicaly challenged, so no need for an apology. Imatra is South Karelia, Finland. Where we live, used to be Via Karjala, or centeral Karelia, until the russian red army occupation during WW2. Its a very beautiful area. We are about 10km from the Russian border (dear hubby works ON the border) and about 160km from St sburg. (due west)If you do a map search for Finland, we are about 1/4 the way up before you hit the arctic circle. Oh, and for you sun lovers out there... We are now up to 22 hours full daylight, 2 hours of dusk/dawn type conditions! Yes, its equally dark in the winter. LOL!Best!Cassi

Cassi,

My parents went on a cruise of the North Sea recently (got back two weeks ago.) They enjoyed Finland and Russia very much. So they were right near where you are at....

WOW, sun for such long times would be wonderful. I *miss* the sun so much...we are having a VERY wet May and June. Much more than usual, everyone talks about it. Of course, I would *not* be able to handle being there in the winter...I think I would literally go insane. I *need* sunshine. That Vit D suffers...
