Guest guest
: Using your FPs is totally up to you. Some people don't, so do a little, some eat them all. My advice would be that if you can eat them all and still lose, then do!!! It will make it easier once you get to goal weight because you'll be able to maintain on a higher number of points, which ROCKS! : ) Here's how I divvy my week - I eat most of my points on the weekend. I'm on maintanence now, but here's what I did when I was in losing mode. On Monday-Friday, I would eat my target points plus APs and 5- 10 of my FPs distributed throughout however I needed them. Then on Saturday and Sunday, I had target plus APs, plus the rest of my FPs divided among the two days. I weighed in on Saturday mornings. This worked for me because I was eating the majority of my points after weigh in and with another week before I weighed again. You know, just because you weigh in on Tuesdays, doesn't mean that has to be the end of your " journal week. " You could start your journal so that the last day is Wednesday or Thursday, that way you " trick " you mind and you can eat whatever FPs you have left over for the week then, after weigh in. Guest guest
I tried to use the flexpoints system and I went back to the old way, since I was just eating my flexpoints like crazy in day one or two and then starving the rest of the week. So for me I just went back to the old way and have been fine. Moe
Guest guest
Lynnette - What can we do to encourage you to give the new points program a try? It is SO wonderful. To me it's so much easier than counting calories or exchanges or anything. I don't know why it's easier, it just is! LOL. The thing I love most is that I can enjoy my favorite foods and still lose weight. What kind of " diet " is that? It's NOT a diet! It's a lifestyle change! Have you gone to a meeting to get the new materials on the points program? Even if you don't want to continue meetings, it's not a bad idea to get their handouts and their training! Good luck to you... Bette 278/187/
Guest guest
http://www.stormpc.com/ww/wendie_plan.htm This is a link to an interesting article about the " Wendie plan. " I've heard a lot about it...I guess it's a way to manage your points to help maximize weight loss. Maybe that will be of help. Your stats are awesome by the way - Congratulations!!! in CO Points Management Hi, all: I hesitate to write about this subject given the current tone of the list, but I need to turn to you guys for some advice. I recognize this is a nice problem to have, but it's still a problem. I am having a helluva time managing my flex points. I've been doing this program since Feb. 1, and I am still SO afraid to go over my points that the first few days after my weigh in, I won't use any FP's (I weigh in on Tuesday). Then, on Friday, I may loosen up a *little.* Saturday I can use a few more. Then it turns out that come Sunday or Monday I usually have well over 20 FP's left. I end up trying to eat a lot on those day, trying to use up some of my points before I lose them. I know that I need to eat in order to lose weight, and I am SO not into starving myself. I'm also not into eating junk food just to use points. I make healthy choices. I'm currently allowed 30 points a day (which I think is a lot). I also try to exercise just about every day, usually earning at least 3 AP's. So, right now I have a lot of points to eat, and I recognize I may not have this problem as I lose weight. I need input from other on how they manage their flex points. Also, I need to learn to trust myself and not be so AFRAID to use these in the beginning of the week. Really, I think I border on nutty about this. Any suggestions? Thanks, 297/251/
Guest guest
I'm still stuck in the old exchange program and am absolutely terrified to even think about standard points let alone adding flex points. In my case, I think it's that " old dog " thing. I would appreciate seeing more discussion on this topic......Lynnette stratton christi wrote: > I started WW on the old program, which gives you a > range of points in a day. Guest guest
Are you having a hard time losing the way you are going about your points now? 'Cuz in my opinion, if it ain't broke, don't fix it LOL! If you ARE having difficulties (and I apologise - I have a hard time keeping track of who IS since I am terrible with names), then you could try dividing them by 7 and eating that much extra each day. I personally only use them when I need them - if I'm still hungry in the evening or if I have something going on for the weekend that would require more points. If I'm satiated on my regular points and AP points, I don't use them " just because they are there " if that makes sense.
