Guest guest
While watching a wonderful show called Police Women of Broward County (actually it's penance for having a CIV GF) they do a narcotics warrant and the bad guy is taken down by SWAT, he is not injured he is not asking for EMS but he does state that he has MRSA and he has a few open wounds but they are again old wounds not fresh. Female cop is gong to put the guy in a car to transport and a male cop is overheard saying no no don't put him in car etc. (not exact dialogue mind you) and he states call EMS. He is transported by EMS and if my recall is right he is transported by EMS to the police station. Would your agency do this as a matter of routine? Louis N. Guest guest
If the cops want him in jail they take them. If we take them they go to the hospital. > > While watching a wonderful show called Police Women of Broward County > (actually it's penance for having a CIV GF) they do a narcotics warrant and the > bad guy is taken down by SWAT, he is not injured he is not asking for EMS > but he does state that he has MRSA and he has a few open wounds but they are > again old wounds not fresh. > > Female cop is gong to put the guy in a car to transport and a male cop is > overheard saying no no don't put him in car etc. (not exact dialogue mind > you) and he states call EMS. Guest guest
No, we would respond to the scene if dispatched and would assess the patient, then we would transport to the ED if there is an injury or condition requiring medical attention from a physician. We will not transport to the PD, SO etc... as described in the post. B.
