The drug is not FDA approved. It is OK for her to cover her butt. The problem I have is that she is so insecure that she had to fax to me a note from my appointment and in it rewrote certain statements, which then looked more like statements of fact than just a release of liability. The problem with the statement of fact is that she was inaccurate and vague and, thus, the statement horrified my husband. She will not be able to substantiate the statement " chelation can injure kidneys and liver " based on the protocol and drugs used. Guest guest Posted June 12, 2004 Report Share Posted June 12, 2004 The issue is distinguishing whether you have a sensible doctor who wishes to protect their hind end from overzealous quacks on their licensing board, or a mentally ill doctor who is afraid of their shadow and obsesses over irrational fears. Always be nice and help cover the doc's behind. But do be sure that is what they are trying to do and keep them from gyrating - or find someone who doesn't quiver in fear at the sight of their own prescription pad. The issue of sensible versus afraid is a very difficult one since the other side of it is the crazed DMPS shooting witch doctors, irresponsible glutathione iv providers, etc. who simply don't think anything is dangerous enough they should be careful. It took me a pretty long time (and many ugly infractions) to convince my husband about food intolerances, and I really wanted to beat him about the head during that time. Hope he comes around soon.
