Everything is so positive that you guys encouraged me to start the process towards a resurfacing hoping to get it done this year. The post by Steve Gombosi on chromium ions was inlighting. Not very sure if the policy of the group permits it. Would like the contact details (Email & Phone) of Dr. DeSmet to present to him my case and see if he accepts me for resurfacing for both my hips. " That phrase is what seems to be the official surfacehippy statement, regardless of surgeon. I, of course, feel that Belgium is the place to go. You will be in good hands and find Koen De Smet to be not only a skilled surgeon but personable and approachable as well. I read it carefully, and checked the xrays he used in the pdf file. It is a virtual match for everything Harold Boyd/Salem told me and did to me in my resurf 12/18/03. The valgus angles, the slight bulge-offset of the acetabular cup in the post surgical xray.... Discrepancies were in duration of homeotropic bone inhibitor drugs.
