Guest guest
I'm such a people pleaser that when I first started this plan I thought I was imposing myself on my family & friends. I thought I was being selfish. Now, though, I realize that my hubby is happier eating this way. Just because I thought nachos and cheesecake made for the most delicious treats, doesn't mean that they showed my loved ones how much I love them. And let me tell you, my husband is head over heels madly happy about this transformation I'm going through. He loves the slimmer me, much more than he loves cheesecake. My love is shown through hugs & kisses, encouragement & friendship, loyalty & passion, not food treats. WW has really been revolutionary to my thinking this way. I've only been married 2 years, and when I first got married I really wanted to show off how perfect I was as a wife. Dinner was like a restaurant meal, every night. " See, I CAN cook, honey! Aren't you a lucky husband? " But on the outside I was embarrassed that my thin, handsome husband had to introduce this fat chick as his newlywed. I felt like I didn't even have an excuse. His work buddies all had chubby wives, but they had kids & pregnancies to blame. I've never had a baby, thus no baby weight to lose. So, this food that I was convinced proved my love & caring did the following: -made me embarrassed to be my husband's wife -made me introverted -made me reclusive -made me less passionate -made me depressed -made me lethargic -etc Now, why would my loved ones want these things? This healthy eating does the following things: -provides delicious meals with vitamins & health benefits -rids us both of digestive woes -makes me proud of myself -made both hubby & I slimmer -made me more passionate -made me more outgoing -gave me goals & success -etc. How did I not see this before? The benefits are obvious! What's to love about the way we used to eat? Sorry to ramble, but I love this plan, I love this group, I love my success, and I really am starting to love healthy eating! Everyone, please love yourself & your family. Love them right. You know they need YOU to be happy & around for years & years to come. Give them the love you all really need. Happy holidays, friends!
