Guest guest
I think this is why I think it has been so hard for me this year. Our teacher last year and the previous two years were wonderful. They were open, welcoming, and very accomodating. I could stop by anytime and they were willing to talk if they could, or suggest a time I could come back and discuss any problems. This year, the teacher is open to emails, but that's about it. All of the parents were given a letter at the beginning of the year which basically said that we are not to come into the school to discuss anything unless we have a scheduled appointment. As much as I understand why you just can't have parents dropping by at any time of the school day, I don't see the problem of dropping by before or after school if something needs to be briefly discussed. On the other hand, our HI is GREAT! I can call her at home or at school to discuss anything. And I do often pop in to talk to her when I drop off in the morning. I know that the issues that I have with our school are not as big as some have, but it's still very hard for me to deal with.
