Guest guest
Thanks, - we actually do get Verizon up here in the sticks (I actually JUST got DSL at home- woo hoo!). I've wanted to talk with them about switching our cell service over for other reasons so this is helpful. Take care Barbara pcknott@... wrote: > I'll be at the CARS thing in August. Scares me. I'm hoping our legislature will raise the driving age this term (Jan-March)!! Re Cell phones: We were stuck with cingular but Maggie was able to find a phone she can use. Of course it was an expensive camera phone! Has a lot of volume and works well on speaker phone. Not much interference. It really is great to be able to contact her wherever she is. She is not abusing the privilege like her sister did, sister had several phone bills over 500 dollars! I've heard that Verizon uses a technology that is better suited for cell phones and hearing aids. I found a great article on the web about cell phones compatibility with HA, but I can't find it now. It might have been at SHHH website. Not sure. > > Re: Had to Share >> >> CARS! OMG! I am dreading this ... really actively dreading this and I have more than 6 months to go before that day comes. How did you survive driving lessons? I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with a D/HOH kid behind the wheel. He's a really responsible kid so I'm, not worried that he'll be a bad driver ... it's the rest of the world's drivers combined with his hearing loss that scares me. I may have to start drinking heavily 6 months from now, LOL Jill

I can recall after JD was first hooked up, he could hear his electric toothbrush for the first time, and I can still see the look on his face. Enjoy the ride! Guest guest
Congratulations . I have seen you on the LVAS board. I have a 9 year old boy with bilateral LVAS.
