Guest guest Posted January 2, 2007 Report Share Posted January 2, 2007 Hi to those of you who've been so supportive in n's progress - We had his follow up today at CIRS with Bobby because Trish was out sick. It's been a long haul of repo and agonizing over this decision, but we decided to go for the band because it showed today that his plagio got worse - from 3-4mm which was negligible to me to 5-6mm in a month and a half so even with ALL THE REPO EFFORT for that to have happened, I was heartbroken and I was concerned it would keep on getting worse still. Good news, his brachy numbers improved, so the side sleeping has really held in the sides - he went from 89-92 based on level of scan to 88-86 based on level of scan. Bobby said he'd want to correct the bit of plagio first before addressing the brachy, whcih I have heard here before, but which is very frustrating to me, because we're making such brachy progress with repo (altho possibly at the expense of the symmetry) - he as usual would not commit on timeline, but I am hoping evening out 6mm of plagio to like a 2-3mm range will happen fast, and we will still have time to get a few more % down on the brachy. In my perfect world, he'd be 0-3mm and 83% CI, but we'll see. He commented that one baby he is following has been in the band 5 months will very little growth (6-11 months) which freaked me out. I am hoping this will not be my son. In my head, I've allotted 3 months for this all to take place -that is all I can stand to think of right now. We ordered the plain white band because my husband is an architect and very creative, and we will make it our own. The new solid blue was too purply for us, and the patterns I decided I might get sick of. I'm pretty apprehensive right now about how n will adapt in general - he is so fussy already. And he's been sleeping worse and worse already (maybe teething?) - I guess this is normal - I just feel kind of sad about all that repo effort and still being here altho I know it would have been much much worse without the repo. Anyway that sums it up I guess. Just wanted to send out one update.
