Guest guest
Hi Danny, I'm Vaughn in East Tennessee. I'll be 70 in May and had my first symptom in 1977. I had a dx of Chronic Progressive MS for 10 years and got my PLS dx at an MS Clinic in Denver - go figure. My progression was rather fast for about five years, then it slowed down and I haven't had any new symptoms for several years now; in fact some of them have improved and practically gone away. But there's always some little nagging ailment waiting to take their place. Such is life with PLS. We're all different, have different problems, progress (bad term) at different speeds, react differently to the same medications and react differently to life itself. If you are using only one cane, as I did for several years, you're braced only on one side. I got tired of having my face sewed up and, at the urging of a PT, started using two fore-arm canes. I can now go just about anywhere I need to without fear of falling. You can see a huge number of them at HYPERLINK " http://www.walkeasy.com " http://www.walkeasy.com. I suggest you get a prescription from your Neuro, take it to a medical supply company, and if they don't have it, have them call 1- and order you a pair. They are very light weight, adjustable, hang from your arm when you reach out (like shaking hands), etc. If I can be of any help whatsoever, please let me know. We're all in this sorry game together and we're all used to being leaned on - so let 'er rip. Vaughn -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
