Guest guest
I'm sick of it too, though I think it really hit rock-bottom a few months ago when KFC tried to claim that its fried chicken is healthy because it is " low in carbs " . <:-o -- Sláinte, S. Guest guest
How can that not be good for you!! I'm so over the whole low carb thing.... anyone else remember in school when we would get the food pyrmid and what was it for breads and cereals... 6-11 servings a day! To be totally honest, the Atkins diet scares the living daylights out of me, because of all the meat you're eating... that cannot be good for your heart. My friend (who is chronically losing and gaining the same 10 lbs) asked me what I ate for breakfast, and I told her: Two pieces of weight watchers bread with 2 TBSP of Peanut Butter and a TBSP of " 100% fruit " jam. She very seriously says to me " You know, that is really not very good for you " . Geez!!! I find the whole trend very annoying.
Guest guest
<>On the other hand, there are some really WW friendly foods out there labelled " lo carb " . <> Definitely - the Healthy Life Bread (and hot dog/hamburger buns) was heavily markeded as part of the " low-carb " trend and its a fabulous 100% whole wheat bread, soft as white that my kids will even eat, and only 1pt per 2 slices. Can't go wrong with that! 195/186/
