Guest guest
one fifth have gluten free menus, one third will accomodate on request. I enjoyed my trip to Italy very much and I was much less hungry than when I went to France (there were some big hunger moments in France, lol). What would be great would be to find some guidebook listing of restaurants in Italy especially good for gluten free dining... Can you imagine? Unfortunately I imagine listings online would be in Italian, doh. > > One third of the restaurants have GF menus?!?!?! > > http://ansa.it/main/notizie/awnplus/english/news/2006-05- 18_1182186.html >
Guest guest
My DD went to Italy a month ago. She did find GF awareness very high there. Restaurants were very accomodating (definitely more than 1/3 of them). She had the worst GF food at the hotels they stayed at - she decribed it as rice gruel. She did eat alot of risotto - didn't find GF pasta. As a (skinny) meat-eater, she did indulge fabulous salami whenever she could. Those snacks always made up for any sub-par meal. Guest guest
I'm leaving for my honeymoon to Italy in 2 weeks. (Yippie!) I would MUCH appreciate any restaurant names that have GF menus in the following cities: Venice, FLorence, Rome, and Sorrento. Thanks!!! -Lori Re: I wanna go to Italy! Guest guest
I went once before I was diagnosed so it's kind of hard to compare. But I am sure I could live on gelato if I had to. Might be fun to try Lori in ATL > > > > My DD went to Italy a month ago. She did find GF awareness very > > high there. Restaurants were very accomodating (definitely more > > than 1/3 of them). Guest guest
Do you think we could get group rates for lodging? Say 5 days in Rome, 3 in Florence, and finishing up in Venice? Or maybe visit Assisi and Perguia and be a little less touristy?
