Guest guest
all 3 are active bands and work by holding the prominent areas of the head while having extra room in the flat areas, to direct growth there. they are made by 3 different manufacturers. Hanger and Star have thicker foam and are a little bulkier than DOC. Hanger and star are used by orthotists who may be trained to use many types of orthotic devices (braces etc) including bands. some of these specialize in banding and others have very little experience, so it is important to check out the ortho you'll be working with. DOCbands are made by Cranial Tech, and CT does only banding so their staff is generally very well trained. All of these bands are adjusted by shaving out some of the foam to make room for growth. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > I know that the star/docbands are active bands, but I don't know about > the hanger bands? Are they all the same? Just different names? > Please explain. TIA >
