My son Hudson had/has reflux and I totally understand what you are

going through. He loved his vibrating chair, and it kept him

happy... little did I know what the outcome would be. He had plagio

and like you I repositioned from about 9 weeks on. I am thrilled to

say it worked for us. He is now 6 months old and except for a little

ear misalignment... he looks great. I always made sure he slept on

the opposite side. I rolled up blankets and put them under he

affected shoulder when he slept or when he was in his bouncy seat.

(Yes I still used it soemtimes) at 3 months I started using the

exersaucer with blankets stuffed in it so he could use it. The I use

the bouncer that hangs in the doorway a lot. I also used the front

carrier as much as possible. I always put him where he had to look

at us or the tv or whatever...opposite the flat spot. It was a lot

of work... but I am happy to say it paied off. I think when he was 4

months I was like you and thought that it was not working and I

should contact someone... but between 4-5 months he really rounded

out. Now I just let him lay however he wants. I put an egg crate

under his sheet so it was softer on his head. I just removed it

though because he is flipping to his belly. Honestly, I would give

it time. I really thought I would be doing more damage if I didn't

take action... but I was wrong. You just have to be really

consistant. No matter what... get him to look the other way.

Listening to you talk about your 4 month appt is so funny because I

was the same way. I wanted action!!!! I blamed myself for his

problem and I wanted it fixed. It took a lot longer then I thought

since I thought I caught it early. Don't give up just yet!!!! Just

think in 2 more months he can sleep on his side. My doctor just gave

me the ok for tummy sleeping. I don't have this constant worry now

if his is laying on his flat spot.
