I think it was totally irresponsible of that company. And they are very

proud of this burger. Have you seen the commercial with the skinny girl eating

it? Gimme a break! OMG!

Hi Hope,

Yes, I did hear about this. Apparantly it's around 1400 calories. The radio am

dj's around here on one station have

been having a huge debate about this. Similar to smoking

and alcohol ads one side wants warnings about food like this

and the other side is we choose what we eat, etc.

Can you imagine eating all of it?! UGGHHH!

I think it's disgusting, but it does all come down to what the public

wants. This is a gimmick that either will do really well and keep

cardiovascular surgeons and undertakers in business, or bomb and

quietly vacate the scene.

When I see what my students are eating...scary. Interesting, though. Scary too.

I am a lurker, but wanted to say that I am in Terrell. Also, I, too, am a

teacher, for all the teachers on the board.

Me either! Funny how there are people here from Canada to Hawaii,

and here we all are within an hour of each other!

I teach 8 grade reading. I love teaching very much, and I love teaching

this age group. They are fun and loving. Unfortunately, this is the age

when a lot of kids are making their first choices about sex and drugs, etc,

and I want to make a difference. I am also teaching in a low income

district, and I enjoy making a difference here. I am always shocked when a

kid asks for a hug because they don't see mom or dad at home b/c they are

working. Too sad.

I love that you love being a role model. I never thought about that, but I

know that I am. I am not setting a great example all the time

(health-wise), but I am getting better!!!

I taught 8th and 9th graders for six years and loved them. Their

enthusiasm is catching, although the attitude at times made me want to

throttle them. Now I've got the older kids 10th-12th and I'll admit I

like not having the behavior issues I had with junior high, but I miss

the raw enthusiasm.
