Guest guest
Quite a few doctors are saying it's dangerous from what I've been hearing from friends, reading online, etc. So they don't think their drug-pushing other prescriptions are even more dangerous? Reverse thinking if you ask me. CP Re: I also saw my doctor today. Guest guest
I agree...doctors are only " practicing " so they should all realize that & be open to new learning. I'm making a file folder of stuff I've printed form my NP plus a list of books recommended on this list....tho I haven't read or bought any myself & not about to spend money on doing that for her when I can't even afford to for myself. That's a good point about drs practices increasing when patients get better on the right stuff they prescribe tho, isn't it? Wondering why they often don't seem to see it that way? Prolly cuz once the patients are better, they don't come in as much so less money for them from office visits/exams & they can't prescribe numerous other drugs for them that they get perks or kick-backs for. What other reason would there be? Just plain blind, stupid arrogance? Here in my neck-'o-the-woods we're required to bring in our prescriptions to some doctors offices every visit. I've seen patients bring in bagfuls of bottles of Rx drugs. That's just plain dangerous to be taking so many different drugs. More people die of allopathic diseases (Rx drugs/surgeries) than any other way except for wars, I've read. My doctors would have had me on umpteen different pills over the years if I went along with it but I've refused so far & kept them to the barest minimum...2-3 at the most at any given time & trying to get off of ALL of them...opting for only natural products & trying healthful alternatives instead. I have a couple of Physcians Desk References here listing all the drugs & manufacturers, what's in them & what they do. I'm chemically sensitive with allergies so want to know what I'm putting into my body even though I'm not all that self-disciplined, have my vices/indulgences & am lazy lately. But doctors don't want to prescribe those or even recommend them, I've found because insurance companies don't cover them & then they can't gouge the insurance cos with high exhorbitant prices. Between the AMA, insurance corps, pharmaceutical companies, government & even the oil corps that a lot of drugs are based on, it's a huge greed/power economic collusion racket. So it's hard to trust any of them anymore really. It's been getting that way more & more & keeping the public more ignorant since the 1900s when the AMA & pharmaceuticals first went to bed together. Before that doctors mostly prescribed natural herbal & homeopathic remedies based on mostly symptoms as they didn't even do blood draws or take other specimens for lab anaysis back then. Tho they did bleed people & use leeches for that too. Now it's all a lot of synthetic high-tech plastic experimental mumbo jumbo about drugs, their manufactuers & labs that fill countless pages of med. school text books. My deceased husband was doing that too & I thought it dangerous for him at the time as well... & look where's he at now....6 feet under. I suspect he had thyroid dysfunction too as he had Dementia/Alzheimers increasingly for many years, lost his memory, & cognitive abilities, motor functions, bowel/bladder control, had scleroderma, insomnia, several surgeries, was either depressed or a raging maniac alternately. I didn't suspect the thyroid issue at the time tho as I was dumb & dumber back then too & couldn't have changed what he ingested anyway, he was too stubborn. No doctor either ever tested or prescribed thyroid supplementation for him tho they had him on a double dose of Prozac, pain killers, sleep aids, urine stoppers, blood pressure decreasers, nerve soothers & various other pills, potions & smokes several times a day. He was 75yo when he died in 2001. Re: I also saw my doctor today. I think that all doctors that think they know it all, are dangerous. I was hoping my doctor was going to be different, but, now I am thinking she isn't...*sigh* I am going to try to gather some information for her and perhaps buy her a book, any suggestions of something that might sway her? You would think she would see an increase in her practice if she actually used Armour and understood thyroid. I would LOVE to be able to refer my friends to her.
