Hi , I'm sorry you are having a hard time! You need to hang tough here

and put your feet up and breath and try to be calm.

And then print out some articles on pregnancy with gd for your endo. I have

some, I'll email them to you tomorrow.

Hugs! And hang in there...

:)Pam B.

Hi ,

I wish I could do something to help you! I know you have the best medical

attention you can get both at home and outside it, but obviously it's not

enough to keep you from being miserable. But, I think (with absolutely no

reason but instinct) that those two babies are getting the best from you,

and what's happening is that your body is sacrificing itself for them. I

suspect you don't have to worry as much for them, as for yourself. I also

wonder if there's some more sensitive test that you can do to determine

whether you're hypo, than the normal ones. Since I don't know squat about

such things, it's just another idle thought I'm afraid. I'm just rambling,

I'm dead tired after the harvest festival today, and really ought to be in

bed rather than trying to think straight. But, I wanted you to know I'm

listening!

Hugs,

Terry

Hi ,

I'm so sorry your going through so much.

I don't understand why there would be a problem in increasing hormone, to get

you into the upper part of the normal range.

My blood pressure did the horrid spikes when I the doctor said I was normal.

Shortly thereafter my TSH was definitely hypo.

Good luck,

Bertta

I really wish I had something productive to tell you, but I don't

have any experience with that :(

Least you've got hubby there to look after you! Can your doc drop the

steroid dose a little? Or will that affect the chorionic villi too much?

I know you're worried about not having to increase your thyroid meds yet,

but maybe your body knows what it's doing. I think it's actually kind of

amazing that you've managed to stay pretty much on an even keel even with

twins! I know that doesn't help you when you feel like cr*p, though. If it

makes you feel any better, I felt lousy for the whole 9 months and didn't

even have a thyroid problem then! :)

Best I can do is pray, pray, pray for you and those lovely little babies.

Take care of yourself - we're all here pulling for you! Don't be afraid to

complain all you want - it's a " luxury " of being pregnant!

Dear -

I'm so sorry to hear about the problems you're having. My prayers

have been with you for a long time now, as I know everyone else has

been praying for you and your family as well.

I'm sure your husband and the other doctors who are caring for you

will find the best answers for you. I do just have a couple of off-

the-cuff questions:

You say that your T4 and T3 are in a good range, but you have hypo

symptoms - including high blood pressure. Have you had your adrenals

checked? Adrenal exhaustion can cause symptoms that are similar to

hypothyroidism.

Also, perhaps the pregnancy, steroids, and other meds are throwing

off your nutritional balance. Is there any way you can get a

COMPLETE nutritional analysis? You might just find some answers

there.

I did read that steroids like prednisone can lower T3 levels

somehow. This info came up while searching " steroids, synthroid and

cytomel. " Apparently some bodybuilders take cytomel so they can eat

a lot and not gain weight - Funny how hypothyroid patients have to

get on their knees and beg for the stuff. Anyway, I wonder if your

thyroid tests might not be revealing the true status of your T3

(which is a short-lived thyroid hormone), and if the steroids are

somehow tamping down the T3, increasing the T3 slightly might be the

answer.

Is there some reason you are not on Armour?

You'll find the answers you need. You are a very strong-willed lady,

and you will conquer this!

Love,

C

Like the others, I too wish there were something I could do to help you. The

one thing I can do is send you love and prayers and hope that you, along with

your support group at home and with the doctors, will get through this, and

that your twins will be healthy too. What a struggle, a challenge. Thank

you for " complainin' " -- we all care immensely. You and yours are in my

thoughts. Hang in there, even when it seems the darkest.

Dear

Sorry to hear that you are having another problem. My prayers are with you

and your family.

I know there isn't much I can say with all you've been through, just know

that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs and Prayers, Debbie R.
