>Hello Laurie,

Thank you for sharing a typical day. The independence vs disability

and dependence on others is such a mind warping thing although it

sounds like you take care of your own personal needs and get around

your apartment with the chair. I am glad to hear that you are

creative and able to enjoy your quilting. I know exactly what you

mean when you say you just want to be able to walk in your own apt

without so much pain. I crawled for months in my home because I

couldn't sit in the wheel chair with my leg up or down. When it

was

up there was a pain that was like a hot poker in my left butt cheek

that grew to unbearable degrees and when my foot was down it

increased the pain so much that I couldn't stand that either. I

could use the crutches holding my foot up for minutes at a time but

found it easier to crawl. So I mostly laid on the floor and

crawled or scooted around. It was exhausting to say the least.

I'd

push my pillow with me so that I could gently lay my calf and foot

on it when I arrived at my new location across the room. I actually

designed and sewed doll clothes that winter for my grand daughter.

I'll close for now and hope to read more from you. Don't give

up

hope. Miracles do happen. Take care, Lyn

Wake up feeling decent. Don't ever think thats going to happen, but

one can hope.

I am just going to buy Katelin's barbie doll clothes, because if I tried sewing it wouldn't be pretty. However I did cross stitch her a cross stitch that has her name and weight and a place that you put the babies first picture in.

Does that count.

Hi –I laughed when you wrote (hate barbie's) because I did design and sew for her ONLY because my granddaughter was obsessed with her Barbie. What I did enjoy more were the bigger soft body dolls. They were big enough to get my fingers in the arm holes and actually see what I was doing! Ok, now I must ask – What would be yourfirst one to sew for a future grandchild? With love and caring, Lyn Nation <cakebaker72@y...> wrote:>Wow, Lyn, I'm impressed! I've sewed doll clothes (hate Barbie ones!), but never designed any--wouldn't know where to start! I have some life size dolls that I've sewn a few things for so they could be seasonal. Bet your granddaughter considers them special. Maybe I'll have one and I can buy her dolls and sew clothes for it! I know what kind her first one will be too! > Love,> N.>>
