mad at surgeon office dr office

Good Monday...... I went to my final PCP diet appt last Monday and

they were to fax to my surgeon my sept and oct charts. I called the

baratric coordinator 3X's last week to see if she got them and if

she had everything needed to submit to insurance. You guessed it no

return call. So friday I called the secretary and she pulled my

chart and no they didnt get them so I called PCP back and they got

mad. The said they faxed them Monday. She said she would do it

again. Today I called surgeon secretary and you guessed it NO FAX.

So I called PCP and she said and I quote " Oh what is their

problem " . So she faxed them a 3rd time. She had me stay on the

phone and listen to the tones. I called secretary back and yes she

got them. I am still waiting of the chest xray results for from pcp

I had done last Monday. She was going to call right then... That

was about 5 hrs ago. Still nothing. I also left the coordinator

another message at 9a to call me. She never did. So I called back

about an hour ago and she answered her phone. I said " Boy you must

be busy.... " She had things she needed to due with a deadline of

today. So I told her how I wanted her to file my insurance papers

(by fax) and to call them once the fax is sent. I am MAD ... This

is NO customer service. Both Dr's have terrible help.... My

surgeon even charges a $2000 program fee on top on what insurance

pays him and this is the service I get. Anyone else have this

problem. Any thoughts? Thanks for letting me vent.....((hugs))

I would tell the surgeon just exactly what you shared

with us, it isn't good customer service considering

the $$ he asking for....be polite, but direct.

Truthfully, they are businessmen first and doctors

second. Dont give them hallowed status, give them a

fair evaulation of their service.

I'd be discussing the situation w/ both doctors & let them know exactly

how you feel!!!

Suzy - I waited 4 wks for my PCP office to finally fax over the

needed papers....I didn't have the service fees though.

Good luck to you in getting some good help.

Suzy - I waited 4 wks for my PCP office to finally fax over the

circles with my sergons office and the insurance co. i've even had other

unrealted dr.s tell me that all of the work i've been doing is the stuff the

office people should be doing and get paid for! keep your chin up hon, we're

routing for you......lots of love

I think I finally had a turn for the good today. I haven't been able to speak

with my PCM because of the staff, but she finally called me today to clarify

what tests I needed ordered and while I had her on the phone I asked her to take

care of the referral. It was all complete before the end of the business day.

Too bad you can't talk directly with your PCM the first time. Now, I get to go

see my surgeon next week and find out how I am doing. I've lost 83 pounds to

date, and its been 5 months, so I think he will be happy with that. But, I am

worried my blood tests are going to reflect some deficiencies because I am

really bad about taking my vitamins everyday. I hope not though.
