Guest guest
just want to post a quick note to apologise for not being able to post much or reply to emails from people as quickly as I would like to. I'm afraid I've had another major problem with my dodgy shoulder today and am back in immobilisation again. Would you believe that something as simple as looking into my fridge to get some lunch caused my shoulder joint to dislocate inferior (down) and anterior (forward)? I couldn't believe how easily it went out so severely . It hurt like fury as we managed to reduce it a little, but it looked horrible and hurt like fury so hence another trip to my all to familiar ER dept ensued. The look on the doctors face when he saw it was a picture, mind even I'll admit it was horrible and I'm used to seeing my arm do weird things! Had the customary x-rays and then a struggled, sedated reduction, but only an hour after finally returning home the darned thing was out anteriorly again. I'm jiggered if I was going back to the hospital for more drugs, so we've popped it back in with much screaming and biting of inanimate objects and I will remain trussed up tightly in my splint over night. I'm about to take a dose of my pain killers, so hopefully that and the sedatives should help me to get some rest. I will go back to see my ER doc tomorrow if it's not easing off though. I just really hope that my OS can scehdule my surgeyr soon now. I will have to go now as typing is incredibly hard. Take care everyone and know that I'm thinking of you and will write as and when my arm allows. Love and hugs.....Jo xxx
